About me

Hi, my name is John Michael. I recently graduated from the Applied AI Solutions program and am based in Canada.

This site is my portfolio, where I showcase my projects and writing.

My journey into learning and development has evolved across multiple domains, shaped by a consistent focus on how people understand and interact with information.

I began as a freelance content writer and translator, where I developed a strong foundation in simplifying complex ideas and communicating them effectively. This naturally led me into instructional design, where I created learning modules in the environmental and engineering sectors, focusing on building engaging and structured learning experiences.

As I worked on eLearning systems and AI-powered training tools, my interest expanded beyond content into how learning can be enhanced through data and technology. This transition led me into a data analyst role, where I progressed into project associate and later planning coordinator, gaining experience in data-driven decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and operational planning.

My other interests include exploring data, uncovering insights, and analyzing patterns across different domains.

I enjoy watching soccer, especially from a statistical perspective, and love creating content around my observations and findings.

I’m a strong believer in sharing creativity and knowledge, as everyone is unique and deserves the opportunity to express and unleash their creative potential.

As an Instructional Designer, I create structured, learner-centered experiences that simplify complex technical concepts across environmental and engineering domains.
